Are you tired of living with shoulder pain? Does it hurt to get dressed or accomplish simple daily tasks? The good news is that with specially designed workouts, shoulder pain can be reduced and/or completely eliminated.
Shoulder pain is usually caused by injuries to the rotator cuff area of your shoulder. The rotator cuff is a collection of muscles and tendons in and around your shoulder joint. These muscles help hold the shoulder together, provide stability, and are essential in the intricate dance of movements that we expect from our shoulders every day.
Unfortunately, this area of your shoulder is also easily injured. It could be as simple as reaching in the wrong way for a bag or purse, over-extending your arm or shoulder, or by sports like (baseball, football, swimming, kayaking, etc) that involve repetitive overhead or circular movements.
Common shoulder injuries include rotator cuff tendonitis, bursitis, impingement, and tears. Pain can also be from shoulder arthritis and frozen shoulder symptoms.
Physical therapists have developed targeted exercises to help their patients eliminate their pain and recover from all of these conditions.
If you would like to end your shoulder pain, you basically have two options:
Option 1: Hire a physical therapist.
You can hire a physical therapist to help you with these workouts. Shoulder pain can be eliminated with regular visits over a series of weeks and/or months. The therapist can monitor your progress and help you to learn correct form and technique. However, for most people this is an inconvenient and expensive option.
Option 2: Home Workouts -- Shoulder Pain Recovery On Your Own Time
It is also easy to learn how to do these exercises on your own. The benefit of learning how to do these exercises on your means that you can do them at your own pace in the comfort of your own home. For the most part, they don't even require any specialized equipment.
There are several good quality guides available. Look for ones that also include video tutorials. These will help you learn proper form and technique.
Which ever option you choose, exercise is the key. For most people, if you follow a specific series of exercises, your shoulder pain can be significantly reduced and possibly completely eliminated in a matter or weeks.
