When I began my Networking career I had no idea what I was doing. I went to Company seminars and tried to fit myself into what they told me I needed to do to be successful. Most of it was a blur to me and I spent many agonizing hours trying to figure out how to do the business. I was very good at enrolling people into the business but keeping them was another story. I have finally, after much studying and educating of myself, found the secret to success and I want to share it with you.
Network Marketing has the potential to make you a lot of money, for as long as you remain with the company and abide by it's requirements. So why do so many fail at it and leave with a sour taste in their mouth, making it their mission to paint a bad picture of the Industry to anyone who will listen? Their failure is due simply to their lack of education. Let me ask you a question. If your son decides to become a doctor, can he be successful just by wanting to be a doctor and beginning to diagnose and treat others without the proper schooling and training? Absolutely not! He has to spend years going to University and do an internship for several years before he can even hang out his shingle and start his practice. How much money does he make during those years? Very little, if any, yet look at all the money he invested in his education. It will take years before he is out of the red and can claim his income as his own.
Network Marketing is also a profession. That's why it is taught as an accredited course in some leading Universities such as the University of Chicago and Walden University. Many other Universities and Colleges teach MLM courses online. However, the difference between making income as a doctor or as a Network Marketer is in the time factor. When you find the company you want to work with in MLM and begin your training you can start making money immediately. After 2 or 3 years you can be making, if successful in your endeavor, serious money while the doctor is still in training and paying for it.
University of Illinois' Dr. Charles King has become a well-known figure to network marketers for his historic championing of the business in academic circles. King, a Harvard Business School graduate himself, recently addressed his alma mater on the subject of network marketing. When asked if Network Marketing is now being taught at Harvard his comment was 'No, but we are making progress - it has to be taught to Harvard.'
What you need to do is access the training available on the Internet (a lot of it free of charge) to effectively network with other people. Remember this because it is going to be the life or death of your business. You may have the best company and product in the world but people will buy for you and join your business because of "YOU". You need to learn to market yourself. That is where your education begins. You need to develop the phrase "I AM INTERESTED IN YOU" and use it as your platform to draw people to you. Put your needs out of the equation. You need to build a relationship with your potential prospects and this relationship will begin to grow and flourish because you let them know you are genuinely interested in them and want to help them. You need to learn to say the right thing to every prospect. All too often we are so anxious to sell some product or bring someone into our team that we, in effect, chase them away from us. Don't do that! If you put Network Marketing training in your search engine you will find a wealth of information there. I have trained under Dani Johnson, Randy Gage, Big "Al" Shreiter, Tim Sales and Todd Falcone. Do your due diligence and check out these training centers. Just Google their names in your Google search bar. This is the first step on the road to your network marketing success.
